Will it notify me if my phone is in my pocket?

There are two ways. The app tells you which one you're using, so you don't have to guess.

With notifications

When you tap “Notify me”, Garita asks for permission to send you alerts. If you allow it, the alert keeps going even if you close the app or put the phone away, and it reaches you as a notification.

When the notification alert is set, you can tap “Send me a test” to check that it arrives.

Without notifications

Keep Garita open and the screen on. If the phone locks, the alert won't arrive.

On iPhone, notifications only work if you add Garita to your home screen. If you haven't, the app asks you to.

• How do I cancel an alert?Tap the line's button, which says “We'll let you know when it's arriving”. That cancels it.
• What do I do if it didn't notify me?The minutes are approximate and sometimes they fail. If something strange happened, tell us from the app or write to hola@garita.uy.
