How do you pay and how much is the bus in Maldonado?

A local ticket costs $39 and longer trips, by sections, from $62 to $129. In force since January 1, 2026, for every company in the department.

In Maldonado fares are set by the local government and apply to every company: CODESA, Maldonado Turismo, Micro and Guscapar. They depend on how far you travel.

Standard ticket

Local: $39. Section 1: $62. Section 2: $79. Section 3: $101. Section 4: $129.

Combined ticket

Section 1: $62. Section 2: $84. Section 3: $112. Section 4: $140.

Retirees

Category A: local $20, and $31 to $65 by section. Category B: local $29, and $46 to $97 by section.

Transfer or combined ticket

If you change from one CODESA bus to another CODESA bus, it is a transfer («transbordo»): you pay nothing more. If the change is with another company, it is a combined ticket («combinación»).
