Help · Holidays, summer and strikes
What do I do if there is a strike or a route change?
Check the map to see where each bus is, and the company's notice to find out what is happening that day.
Garita does not announce strikes or route changes. Each company and the city government do that. What we do is show on the map where each bus is, and the minutes for each stop.
- Open the map and pick the line. With one line picked, only its buses stay on the map.
- If none shows up, check whether the app says the company is not sending the location of its buses.
- Look for the company's notice on its website or its official social media.
- If a bus changed its route, the map shows where it is going now.
A strike or a last-minute change may not be in the app yet. If something does not add up, tap the bus and use "Report something wrong", or write to hola@garita.uy.

- How does Garita find out about changes? It reads the notices companies publish and follows where their buses are. If a company stops sending its location, the app says so.
