What happens to buses in summer?
In the summer season, some companies change routes, frequencies or departures. Garita shows what each company publishes.
There is no single summer timetable for the whole country. Each company changes its service in its own way.
In Maldonado, the local government adapts the departmental lines to the summer season every year. There is a resolution for 2025/2026 that changes the lines that enter Punta del Este, the ones to La Barra and the ones that reach Faro José Ignacio.
When a company publishes its summer timetable, Garita shows it as a published timetable, apart from the live minutes.
If the season changes a route, the live map shows where each bus is going. Check it before waiting at a stop that may no longer have that service.
