What do the “Notify me” notifications store?

Just enough to tell you when your bus arrives. It's erased when it arrives, when you cancel, or after two hours, whichever comes first.

If you tap “Notify me” and accept notifications, your browser gives us an address to send them to you. That address belongs to your phone's or your browser's notification service (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), which is how each alert gets to you.

We store that address together with the stop, the line and how far away the bus is. Nothing else: not your connection address, and nothing that says who you are.

It's erased when the bus arrives, when you cancel the alert, or after two hours, whichever comes first.

To stop receiving Garita notifications, remove the permission from your browser's or your phone's settings.
