Does Garita know where I am?
Only if you tap “Where am I” and give permission. Your location stays on your phone, unless you tell us about a problem and tick the box.
Garita doesn't track your location. It asks for it only when you tap “Where am I”, and only if your browser or your phone gives permission. It's used to center the map where you are and to suggest the closest stop.
That position is used on your phone. It's not sent to anyone and it's not stored.
The exception
If you tell us about a problem and tick the box “Also send where I am”, your location travels with the alert, rounded to about one hundred meters. The box is unticked by default.
You can remove the permission whenever you like, from your browser's or your phone's settings.

- Do I need an account or to give my details? No. Garita doesn't ask for a name, email or phone number, has no accounts and has no ads.
- Why does it say “We couldn't find where you are”?Garita couldn't read your location: maybe you didn't give permission, your phone has it turned off, or the signal is weak.
