What timetable do buses use on a holiday?

It depends on the holiday and on what each company announces. If the company announced something, its notice wins; if not, the holiday rule applies.

There is no single timetable for every holiday. Each company decides how its service runs that day and announces it in advance.

How Garita decides

  1. If the company announced something for that day, its notice is used.
  2. If it did not, and the holiday is one that runs like a Sunday (1 January, 1 May, 18 July, 25 August and 25 December, Carnival, and the Thursday and Friday of Tourism Week), that day is treated as a Sunday.
  3. If it is a holiday when the country works, such as 6 January or 12 October, and the company announced nothing, the timetable for the normal day of the week applies.

If the company has not announced anything yet, the app does not know it. Even if the timetable is different, the map still shows where each bus is coming from.
