On the map
The alert for the area you are looking at shows up at the top, and the zone is shaded like on INUMET’s map.
At your stop
If your stop is inside the zone, the alert shows up above the buses that are coming.
At bus terminals
Each terminal’s board shows the alert for its area.
This is an example: a real afternoon of intercity buses (Friday, October 17) with a sample alert on top. It is not today’s alert.
What each color means

- OrangeWhen the event brings a high risk to the general population.
- RedWhen the event brings an extreme or imminent risk to the general population.
INUMET warns with three colors. This is how SINAE (the National Emergency System) explains them. SINAE’s frequently asked questions (in Spanish)
About these alerts
Where it comes from
The alerts come from INUMET (Uruguay’s weather institute). We read what it publishes and show it as is: the text, the departments and until when. The only thing of ours is a separate line on orange and red alerts, clearly from Garita.
If you don’t want to see the zones
On the map, go to Settings › Map and turn off “INUMET alert zones”. The alert still shows at the top; only the shaded zones go away.
